We had bad fires in Kelowna in 2003. We live in West Kelowna - across the lake - and there have been 4 fires this summer on the west side. One in a development only 5 km. from where we live. We are happy the winds were in our favor and we did not get affected. Fortunately not many homes were destroyed, unlike in 2003 when over 200 were burned. We just saw your fires on our evening news.
