It’s been two years since composer Stamatis Spanoudakis performed at the Herod Atticus theater – this time he’ll be joined by the ERT string orchestra (that’s Greece’s National Television orchestra) and his long time associates Tsiko on percussion, George Delis on keyboards and Nick Hatzopoulos on bass. And Spanoudakis’ vehicle for his compositions will be, primarily, the guitar (or at least that’s what we’ll assume, since the concert is titled “With Guitar” .

He’s quite a talented composer and his music crosses a wide range of genres, from classical compositions to “new age” to contemporary music for Greek cinema (as well as international cinema). If you’ve seen the movie Nyfes, or in English “Brides”, you’ve certainly been moved by Spanoudakis’ music.
